Beats 14,000 Year Old Dentistry

Reports show that 30-50% of the population avoids the dentist due to fear. My own assumption is that 100% of people during the Paleolithic era avoided their buddy coming at them with a sharpened stone and telling them to say "ahhh".

The above photo displays the earliest known evidence of dentistry. This human tooth specimen discovered by an Italian paleoanthropologist was treated for a cavity 14,000 years ago.

What this means is that the human species has long known about disease treatment for teeth. While we don't want anyone going around town claiming that Marion Dental Group performs the "world's oldest profession", we do want you to know that we are here to treat all of your dental needs. Just remember how lucky we all are to be living in the age of local anesthetic. Give us a call!
